| At the end of term two, we were extremely privileged to have editor Charlotte Gibbs and deputy editor Grace McFarlane from Toitoi visit Russley School. We have had 13 students published in Toitoi, with a further three students to be published in the upcoming issue (released early Term 3). It was wonderful for the students to be able to meet with Charlotte and Grace in person. Some of our writers took part in an afternoon writing workshop with Charlotte and Grace. We read and discussed poetry by children from other schools from the Toitoi journals, and then worked on our own writing. Having editors and publishers on hand to offer critiques, advice and encouragement was very special. Thank you so much, Charlotte and Grace!  |
