Congratulations to Lukas DW, who as the winner of the Toitoi Story Search has had his poem published in Toitoi 29. We spotted this on Toitoi's social media pages but have yet to see the journal in person... hopefully it will arrive in the next few days! Congratulations Lukas!

Lockdown Voices

 In the 2020 Lockdown, some of our Russley Writers wrote about their experiences and had their work published in the School for Young Writers' Lockdown Voices project.

Lockdown Voices - Now Live!

It was very exciting to attend the launch of the Lockdown Voices 2020 at  Tūranga this evening.

Bryn and Milla bravely took the stage to read their poems to the crowd. They did a wonderful job, and truly did Russley School proud.

You can hear their poems as podcasts on the links below, along with poems from Emma C and Lukas D. Their work will be broadcast on Plains FM Radio over the next few Saturday mornings. (Scroll down for the broadcasting schedule).

Published Authors!

Congratulations to this amazing bunch of talented Russley students, who have had stories and poems published in Toitoi.

Kelly, Taralina, Santino, Lukas and Noah all had their writing published in Toitoi Issue 5. Anna and Emma had writing published in issue 4 along with Kim's amazing artwork.

What a fantastic achievement to be published in this top quality journal at such a young age.
