Magical descriptions...

The Haunted Nutcracker

by Willow

Haunting piano music starts to play as pink pointe shoes tiptoe across the creaky stage. The spotlight shines on the red, ripped curtains. Slowly the curtain starts to rise, wide puffy skirts spin as ballerinas prance around. The music was stuck on repeat and the dancers cold not stop. The ballerina’s breaths get heavier as they become more and more tired.

Jessica’s story:

Crash! A book flew open, landing on the aging oak floor with a thud. Magical embers fluttered around a picture which seemed to be climbing out of the page. The sound of hooves galloping filled the air. A flaming chestnut brown mane fluttered in the wind. A knight perched on top of the whinnying horse. The knight’s armour shone like the sea on a sunny day. HIs blood red cape was spread out wide like an eagle’s wings. He held a glimmering golden spear in his cold palms. HIs rosy cheeks were as red as rubies.

Suddenly, crimson sparks started soaring around the next page… the sparks turned to fire and burned away a hole straight through the book. Out of nowhere, an ugly green tentacle with hazel and brown spots appeared. It reached out towards the knight and the horse…
