They took up Paula Green's challenge to write poems with the title 'Keep Calm and Carry...' It was most interesting to see the many ways they interpreted the theme.

Paula Green said, "They ranged in mood and I loved that – and always surprised me. I liked the way some poems followed the pattern of my poem and some poems made their own pattern (form). I loved reading these as they made me feel good and made me want to write. Wonderful!"

Prizewinners in the Witch Story Competition!

Congratulations to the following students, who were prizewinners in the senior division of the recent competition, 'What Would You Do if Your Teacher Was a Witch?'

Kimberly Currie won second prize overall.

Mitchell McCarthay won third prize and also the award for the most humorous entry.
