Dear Feet

Dear Feet,

Hi. You take me places
you’re soft and padded underfoot
slipping silently across the floor
your slim boniness makes holes
in the soft squishy mud
or sand

You are silent while you are also loud
your rough soles can take
as much pressure as concrete

One foot alone
can cause an avalanche of earthquakes

You have taken me so far
yes, you may be stinky
and hot or cold
but that’s all part of nature

Your slim toes wriggle in the sand
your red blood drenched toenails
dig into your socks and shoes

You are my friends.
I love you

Well, I can’t really walk without you
So, yeah…

I love you feet

Thank you for being my feet

Love,
Jayda

p.s. You have to reply. I don’t know how, but try.
