Colour Poetry

Two contrasting colour poems from Team Awa Nui students:

I am the rose in your butterfly garden.
I am the blood in your body, flowing around keeping you alive.
I am the cheek on your face, blushing when you're around a boy.
I am the fire extinguisher keeping the foam inside.
I am the crimson Christmas lights on the glowing tree, shining my bright self.
I am the stop sign, stopping people from crashing... but people do sometimes.
I am strawberries with icing sugar on top.
by Phoenix, Year 6

I am the cold Arctic ocean. I am the sky on a summer's morning. I am Lake Tekapo, full of fish swishing around. I am a Russley School top.
by Ella S, Year 5
