Writers' Walk Ceremony

This morning we had a very special celebration. We acknowledged the winning authors in our 2015 Russley Writers' Walk Competition. The writers were presented with panels on which their poems and stories were printed and these panels will soon be put up on fences around our community.

The Writer's Walk was officially opened by Christchurch authors Bill Nagelkerke and Greg O'Connell. Bill read an extract from his latest novel to a captivated audience and Greg entertained us with an interactive poetry performance and his famous How to Swim a Length Underwater.

Congratulations to all our writers- as Bill and Greg said, to write an entry was a great accomplishment, and the standard of writing overall was very high.
