The Chore Robot

If you could invent a robot...

to do anything you wanted it do to, what would it be like?

We read the story 'The Chore Robot' by James O'Keefe, published in Toitoi - a journal for young writers and artists. In James' story, his robot has loads of amazing features so it can help him do all the jobs he hates. But, it malfunctions and creates havoc!

We each designed our own robot, and drew a technical picture showing all its different parts, features and functions.

Next, we began writing our own stories, using James' as inspiration.

We have robots with dish-washing functions, automated cash dispensers, jet-packs and wings to fly us around... and I can't wait to read what happens when they begin to malfunction!

Here are some photos of our writers hard at work.
