Marly's poems

Colour poem

I am an indigo bunting with my
feathers ruffling through the wind

I am as shiny as a diamond

I taste like the juicy berries that
pop in your mouth.

I sound like the crashing of water.

I am gloomy like a troll.

I smell like forget-me-nots.

I am cold as ice cutting
at your nostril hairs
while you breathe in the icy air.

I am the colour Blue

When I hear the waves crashing

I feel calmness flooding through me
It makes me want to burrow
my feet in the cool sand
It is a rush when I put my feet in the
crystal clear water
and it circles around
up to my knees
sending chills up my spine
It is filled with wonders
The ocean is marvellous!
