Oral Poetry

Our Awa Nui (am) Writing Group has been having fun with oral poetry. We decided on a topic, then each came up with a word or group of words. We stood in a line and each person said their piece, which when strung together formed a very cool poem. We then experimented by re-shuffling our positions, putting the words and "lines" in a different order. Here are a few of our pieces, about various locations in Canterbury.
