Congratulations to Lucas Yee, who has had his work selected for publication in the iconic School Journal! Lucas was one of only three students in Aotearoa New Zealand to have their writing chosen.
The School Journal has been in print for over 100 years, and was described by the legendary Margaret Mahy as "One of New Zealand’s leading literary magazines".
'The list of colourful and talented creatives who were given opportunities by School Publications is long and includes writers James K. Baxter, Frank Sargeson, Janet Frame, Margaret Mahy, Joy Cowley and Witi Ihimaera. Sir Edmund Hillary even contributed an account of his ascent of Mount Everest in 1955.'
To have his work picked to be published in School Journal is an incredible achievement. We are so proud of you, Lucas!
