Some of our writers entered the recent NZ Poetry Society International Competition. We are incredibly excited and proud to annouce two of our students were acknowledged.
Congratulations to:
Chithralie Herath who was the Runnuer-up in the Open Junior category for her poem, Sri Lankan New Year! This was an awesome achievement, especially considering Chithralie is 10 years old!
Chithralie has won NZ$50 in prizemoney and automatic publication in the NZPS anthology, to be published later this year.
In addition, Lachlan Hogan was awarded Highly Commended for his poem, At Christmas we go to Castle Hill.
How fantastic to have two students from TPK Russley awarded places!
