Stormy Poems

The Wind - by Catherine
The wind is Mrs Harrison shouting at Mr Harrison.
The wind is a soccer ball zooming through the air with force.
The wind is the roaring of a T Rex (Tyrannosaurus Rex).

The Wind – by Elizabeth
The wind is an army charging
it is an elephant calmly moving his ear
the wind is my figgy pudding
the wind is a big boom
it is a racing car in a race
it is a leaf falling to the ground

The Thunderstorm – by Elizabeth
Gusty winds wobble the classroom. I get a big shock as... Zap! A giant lightning bolt hits somewhere not too far away. The hail sounds like a pen hitting the paper. The rain dances on the door and I am instantly frightened. The thunder is like applause.

The Storm – by Oliver
The thunder was as scary as a gorilla’s armpit.
The streets were quiet as it was bucketing down.
Electricity was gone for the people in the city.
BOOM! SMASH! CLANG! The people had a sleepless night.

The Wind – by Ella
the wind is a marching crowd
the wind is a spooky ghost
the wind is the smell of fish and chips
the wind is the smell of pavalova
the wind is a dinosaur howl

The Wind – by Baylee
The wind is a roaring lion at the beach.
It is a ghost trying to haunt.
it is lions teeth biting its prey.

The Storm – by Baylee
Bang! The thunder is as loud as a herd of mammoths.
The lightning was as bright as flashing, zooming,
frightening thunderclouds.
